Continuous(hasbeenstudying),adverbsoftencomebetweenthefirstpartandthesecondpart(hasonlybeenstudying).Use1DurationfromthePastuntilNowT:WeusethePresentPerfectContinuoustoshowthatsomethingstartedinthepastandhascontinuedupuntilnow.“forfiveminutes”,“fortwoweeks”,and“sinceTuesday”arealldurationswhichcanbeusedwiththePresentPerfectContinuous.Lookatthefollowingexamples.Showthefollowing.Theyhavebeentalkingforthelasthour.Shehasbeenworkingatthatcompanyforthreeyears.JameshasbeenteachingattheUniversitysinceJune.Use2Recently,LatelyT:YoucanusethePresentPerfectContinuouswithoutadurationsuchas“forfiveminutes”,“fortwoweeks”,and“sinceTuesday”.Withoutthedurations,thetensegivesamoregeneralmeaningof“lately”.Weoftenusethewords“lately”or“recently”inthesentencetostrengthenthismeaning.Nowreadtheseexamples.Showthefollowing.Recently,Ihavebeenfeelingreallytired.Shehasbeenwatchingtoomuchtelevisionlately.Maryhasbeenfeelingalittledepressed.ImportantT:RememberthatthePresentPerfectContinuoushasthemeaningof“lately”or
