Unit8 When is your birthday?
一、教师寄语: No pains, no gains.
二、学习目标:
1、知识目标:
词汇:speech,contest,party,trip,art, festival, basketball game
短语:speech contest, school trip, basketball game, birthday party, school day, art festival
句型:--When is the school trip? -- It’s April 19th.
2、能力目标:进一步熟练运用以“When……..?”开头,关于日期的回答。
3、情感目标:通过了解一些著名人物的“birthday”, 使学生学习他们积极的学习工作态度。

学会使用序数词询问某人的生日. 学会询问活动日程的句型

Step1 预习并尝试性探究:
根据汉语写出下列英语单词或短语并展示.

Step2 自主学习:
1.个人自读,记忆本课单词,完成1
2. 小组互相检查读、写情况.
Step3 合作探究:
1. 师生合作完成听力练习2a. 2b,并检查答案。
2. 生生合作:
运用When is ------? Its----- 询问活动日程
1) 两人一组练习下列对话
A. When is the school trip? B. Its August 5th.
2) 组内同学合作,根据3a表格做替换练习对话
3) 根据3b对话及表格进行练习
4) 小组竞赛,展示对话,完成3b
5) 学会安排活动日程,写出有关自己活动日程的句子.
Step4 梳理归纳:
when译为“什么时候,何时”,一般用于询问“某天,某周,某月,某年”等,如:When is your birthday? 而what time译为“几点”,一般用于询问具体的钟点,常以at + 几点的形式出现。如:What time do you get up in the morning? I get up at 6:00.
Step5 拓展创新:
1. 英语中表达年月日的方法有两种: 月,日,年或日,月,年这两种形式如:July 10th, 2010 = the tenth of July, 2010. 它的前面常用介词in或on, 当只出现年,月时就用介词“in”,当出现具体的时间时就用“on”。
2. 某人年龄的表示方法常用:1). 主语+ be + 基数词 2). 主语+ be + 基数词year(s) old 3. 有时还可用 “主语+ be + a 数字—year—old + 名词。”的形式。如:He is five. = He is five years old. = He is a 5—year—old boy. 提问年龄用how old.

解析:在月份前用介词in, 但具体到某一天用介词on, 故选C
2. --___________is your art festival? -- It’s June 5th.

3. She is ___________ girl.
A.a 8—year—old B.a 8 year old C. a 8—year—olds D.an 8—year—old
解析:根据年龄表达法,此处需要复合形容词来作定语,故选D。
